Two 6×6m Inflatable Tents for an Outdoor Brand Activation in Australia

Real-World Stability in 50–60 km/h Coastal Gusts

6×6m Inflatable Event Tent Case | Australia Brand Activation

For this outdoor activation in Australia, the client used two 6×6m inflatable event tents in the X Tent configuration, together with several 3m inflatable advertising columns.

The two tents created the main activity space, while the columns extended the brand presence into the wider site. It was a simple combination, but each structure had a clear job: the tents provided space, and the columns helped the setup stand out from a distance.

Inflatable event tents anchored with ground stakes at a coastal outdoor event in Australia

The Project Requirement

The client needed more than a single shelter.

Because the event was held outdoors, the setup had to give people enough room to move around comfortably while still making the brand easy to notice across the site.

A single tent would have limited the usable area, so two 6×6m X Tents were used together. This created approximately 72 m² of nominal covered space and gave the client more flexibility for display, reception and visitor interaction.

Technical Specifications & Australian Environmental Compliance

To perform reliably under Australia’s demanding outdoor conditions—such as high UV exposure, strong coastal winds, and unpredictable weather—the 6×6m inflatable structures were built with the following specifications:

  1. UV & Thermal Resistance: The outer roof canopy and walls are crafted from 600D high-density polyester featuring an integrated UPF 50+ UV-protective layer. This prevents material breakdown and reduces heat buildup under intense Australian sunlight.
  2. Structural Rigidity & Wind Capability: Built with heavy-duty TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) inner air bladders, the tents maintain structural stability in coastal wind gusts up to 60 km/h (Beaufort Force 7) when secured with proper ground stakes and ballast weights.
  3. Airtight Sealed Technology: The system utilizes a fully sealed (airtight) frame structure. After a brief 5-minute setup with an electric pump, the tents hold pressure for up to 5 days without needing continuous blowers, eliminating background noise during event presentations.
  4. Safety & Permitting: The materials meet international flame-retardant standards (DIN 4102 B1 and CPAI-84), ensuring full compliance with public event safety guidelines required across Australian states.

Why This Configuration Worked

The two tents handled the main functional requirement: space.

The 3m inflatable advertising columns had a different role. They added height and helped carry the brand beyond the main tent area, which made the activation easier to notice from different parts of the site.

That mattered in this case because the event area was open and visitors could approach from several directions.

Outdoor Conditions on the Day

The site was close to the coast, and gusts reached around 50–60 km/h, roughly Beaufort Force 7, during the event.

The tents and inflatable columns were anchored with ground stakes. Despite the gusty conditions, both remained stable and kept their shape throughout the day.

This was a real project condition rather than a formal wind-rating test, so the result should be read in that context. Actual outdoor performance will always depend on the anchoring method, ground conditions, structure size and site exposure.

Keeping the Branding Consistent

The tents and columns used the same green visual language, so the whole setup felt like one event space rather than several separate products.

For this type of project, the important part is not adding more logos. It is making sure the different structures work together through color, logo scale, graphic placement and viewing direction.

That consistency is what makes a multi-product setup look planned rather than crowded.

What the Setup Achieved

The final layout gave the client three practical benefits:

  1. approximately 72 m² of covered event space
  2. better visibility through the 3m inflatable columns
  3. a modular setup that could be arranged around the needs of the site

The project also gave us a useful real-world reference for how the structures performed in exposed coastal conditions when properly anchored.

What Other Buyers Can Take From This Project

When planning an outdoor activation, it helps to separate two questions:

How much usable space do we need?

and

How visible does the brand need to be across the site?

In this project, the tents solved the space requirement, while the inflatable columns solved the visibility requirement.

The weather conditions also reinforced another point: outdoor performance should never be judged by the tent alone. Anchoring, ground conditions and site exposure all matter.

That is a more useful way to plan an event space than simply choosing the largest structure that fits.

FAQ

Q1:Can two inflatable event tents be used together?

A1:Yes. Multiple inflatable tents can be arranged together to create a larger event area. The final layout should be based on the available site space, visitor flow and how the area will be used.

Q2How much space do two 6×6m tents provide?

A2:Two 6×6m tents provide approximately 72 m² of nominal covered area.

Q3:What size inflatable event tent is suitable for a larger brand activation?

A3:The right size depends on the available footprint, visitor flow and how the space needs to function. In this project, two 6×6m tents were used to create approximately 72 m² of nominal covered area while keeping the layout modular.

Q4:Why use inflatable advertising columns with an event tent?

A4:They add height and extend the brand presence beyond the main tent, especially in open outdoor environments.

Q5:How did the tents perform in windy conditions?

A5:During this project, the coastal site experienced gusts of around 50–60 km/h. The tents and inflatable columns were secured with ground stakes and remained stable and kept their shape throughout the event.

This is a project-specific observation, not a universal wind rating. Actual performance depends on anchoring, ground conditions, structure size and site exposure.

Q6:Is this type of setup suitable for roadshows or touring events?

A6:Yes. A modular setup can be useful when the same structures need to be adapted to different venues and site sizes.

Q7: Are these inflatable tents suitable for harsh Australian weather conditions?

A7: Yes. The 6×6m tents are built with UV50+ weather-resistant fabric and high-pressure TPU frames, enabling them to withstand wind gusts up to 60 km/h and intense sunlight without fading.

Q8: How long does setup take for a 6×6m inflatable event tent?

A8: Each 6×6m tent can be fully inflated using an electric pump in under 5 minutes by two people. Once sealed, it holds pressure for multiple days without requiring a constant power supply.
