Custom Long Inflatable Tent for an Outdoor Brand Activation in Kosovo
1 × 3×6m Airtight Long Tent · 2 × 2m Branded Columns · One-Person Setup in Under 5 Minutes
For this outdoor brand activation in Kosovo, a well-known premium sports equipment brand needed more than a standard event tent. They needed a temporary space where visitors could stop, see the products and interact with the brand.
At the same time, the structure had to be easy to transport, quick to set up and visually strong enough to match the brand’s premium positioning.
A conventional folding or frame tent could provide cover, but that was not the main issue.
The client felt that a standard event tent looked too generic. It also required more handling during setup, took up more transport space and was less convenient for repeated roadshow use.
MX therefore developed a compact branded event system using:
- 1 × 3 × 6m Long Inflatable Tent
- 2 × 2m Block Inflatable Columns
The Long Tent became the main product experience and display area. The two columns were placed at the entrance to strengthen brand visibility and help visitors identify the activation zone.
The complete system used an airtight structure. One person completed the basic setup of the main tent in under five minutes, and the electric pump could be disconnected once inflation was complete.

The Client's Problem Was Not Shelter — It Was Brand Presence
The client did not want the activation to look like a temporary market stall.
Their products were positioned as premium sports recovery equipment, so the event space also needed to feel deliberate, recognizable and consistent with the brand.
The problem with a standard event tent was not that it could not provide shade.
It was that it looked too familiar.
At an outdoor roadshow, where several brands may be using similar tents, a conventional square frame structure can disappear into the background very quickly.
There were also practical concerns.
The client needed something that could be moved between activities without taking up too much space in transport, and they did not want every setup to require several people.
Buyer Takeaway: If a standard event tent looks too generic for the brand, the problem is not only shelter. The structure itself needs to support brand visibility, visitor flow and the overall event experience.
Why a Standard Frame Tent Was Not the Best Fit
The client could have used a conventional folding or frame tent.
It would have been familiar and easy to source.
But familiarity was also the problem.
For this activation, the structure had to look like part of the brand rather than generic event equipment.
The client also wanted:
- stronger visual presence;
- faster setup;
- fewer people involved in installation;
- smaller packed volume;
- easier movement between roadshow locations;
- a structure that could be reused.
For this project, an inflatable structure matched the event workflow better.
That does not mean an inflatable tent is automatically better than a frame tent for every event.
It means the structure needs to match how the buyer actually plans to use it.
The Biggest Concern Before Ordering: Can One Person Really Set It Up?
This was the client's biggest practical concern.
It is easy for a supplier to describe a product as “easy to install,” but that does not mean much if three or four people are still needed once the structure arrives on site.
The client specifically wanted to know whether one person could realistically handle the tent during a roadshow.
At the event, one person completed the basic inflation and raising of the 3 × 6m Long Inflatable Tent in under five minutes.
Final positioning, sandbag anchoring and placement of the two entrance columns required additional work, but the main tent itself did not require a multi-person frame assembly process.
Setup Note: In this project, one person completed the basic inflation and raising of the 3 × 6m Long Inflatable Tent in under five minutes. Final anchoring and event setup took additional time.
Why We Added Two Block Inflatable Columns
The Long Tent could already carry the main branding, but we did not want the activation to begin only when visitors were standing directly in front of the tent.
The two 2m Block Inflatable Columns extended the visual identity forward.
They had two clear jobs:
- entrance branding;
- wayfinding.
From a distance, visitors could identify where the activation started.
Once they approached the tent, the columns and the main structure read as one branded environment rather than three unrelated inflatable products.
For more planning examples, see our guide to custom inflatable tents for brand activations.
This was particularly useful in a busy outdoor setting where surrounding tents, signs and event equipment were competing for attention.
Design Takeaway: The Long Tent created the main product experience area, while the two Block Inflatable Columns strengthened the entrance and helped visitors identify where the activation started.
From a Logo and Simple Idea to a Complete Branded Space
The client did not send us a complete production-ready layout.
They provided a logo and a simple visual idea.
MX then developed the branding around the actual three-dimensional structures.
This follows the same principle used in our custom inflatable tent design process.
The final customization included:
- roof logo;
- front branding;
- side graphics;
- full black structural color;
- Pantone-controlled brand colors;
- matching graphics across the Long Tent and both Block Columns.
The main challenge was proportion.
A logo that looks correct on a computer screen can appear too small once it is placed on a large inflatable roof. The opposite can also happen: an oversized logo can make the structure feel crowded or visually cheap.
So the artwork was adjusted around the actual inflated proportions rather than treated as a flat print file.
The two columns were developed using the same visual language so the entrance felt connected to the main tent.
Design Note: The client supplied the logo and general direction. MX developed the final proportions, logo placement, Pantone-controlled colors and visual consistency across the tent and entrance columns.
A 3 × 6m Branded Space Packed Into About 50 × 50 × 50 cm
For roadshows, the packed size matters almost as much as the installed size.
Buyers comparing other footprints can also review our inflatable tent size guide.
The main Long Inflatable Tent created a 3 × 6m branded activation space, but packed to approximately:
50 × 50 × 50 cm
The tent weighed approximately:
32 kg
Each 2m Block Inflatable Column weighed approximately:
8 kg
and packed to around:
50 × 50 × 30 cm
This helped the client move the activation system between events without dedicating excessive vehicle space to temporary event infrastructure.
That matters when a brand is transporting products, displays, staff equipment and promotional materials at the same time.
Transport Takeaway: The 3 × 6m Long Inflatable Tent packed to approximately 50 × 50 × 50 cm at about 32 kg, making it easier to transport and reuse across roadshow locations.
Airtight Structure: Power Was Only Needed During Inflation
The Long Tent used an airtight, or sealed-air, inflatable structure.
The electric pump was used during inflation and then disconnected.
There was no need to keep a blower running beside the activation for the next two days.
For a customer-facing product experience area, that had practical benefits:
- fewer cables around visitors;
- no continuous blower noise;
- cleaner presentation;
- less dependence on a nearby permanent power point.
No additional inflation was reported during the two-day event.
Technical Note: The airtight structure only required electricity during inflation. Once pressurized, the pump could be disconnected and no continuous blower was needed during the event.
Sandbag Anchoring for the Outdoor Site
The Long Tent was secured with sandbags.
We would not present this as a universal anchoring solution for every outdoor event.
The correct anchoring method depends on the site surface, structure size, exposure, weather and local event rules.
For this project, sandbags were a practical fit for the available surface.
During the two-day activation, no obvious displacement was reported.
This is a project observation, not a certified wind-performance inflatable tent anchoring claim.
For a more technical discussion, see our article on and ballast assumptions.
Anchoring Note: Sandbags were used for this project because they suited the available event surface. Other sites may require a different ballast or anchoring solution.
Seven Days From Design Confirmation to Shipment
The client had an event date to meet, so production timing mattered.
From final design confirmation to shipment, this project took approximately:
7 days
Before packing, the Long Tent and both Block Columns were checked for:
- full inflation;
- airtightness;
- finished dimensions;
- Pantone and color matching;
- logo and print position;
- sewing quality;
- accessories.
For a branded activation project, QC is not only about whether the structure inflates.
A tent can work technically and still fail the event visually if the colors are wrong, the graphics are misplaced or the finished proportions do not match the approved design.
Production Note: From design confirmation to shipment, the project took approximately seven days, including structural and visual QC before dispatch.
What Happened During the Two-Day Activation
The setup was used for two days as a product experience, product display and brand promotion space.
According to the project record:
- no additional inflation was required;
- no obvious air leakage was reported;
- no significant deformation was reported;
- no obvious displacement was reported.
The client also told us that:
- the branding result met expectations;
- setup was easier than expected;
- the system was convenient to transport.
The same setup was later used again.
We do not have photographs from the later use, so we do not present that second use as another documented case. The reuse information comes from client feedback.
Project Result: The setup was used for two days without reported reinflation, obvious leakage, significant deformation or displacement. The client also found the setup easier than expected and practical to transport for reuse.
What Other Brand Activation Buyers Can Learn From This Project
Brand Visibility Starts Before Visitors Reach the Tent
The two entrance columns helped visitors identify the activation before they reached the main product area.
Setup Manpower Should Be Checked Before Ordering
The client specifically wanted one-person setup.
That requirement was confirmed on site.
Packed Size Matters for Roadshows
A roadshow structure spends a lot of time being transported, not only displayed.
The deployed footprint and packed size should both be considered before buying.
Reuse Changes the Value of the Project
This structure was not limited to one event.
The client used the system again after the initial activation.
For brands planning several roadshows, repeat setup and transport can be just as important as the appearance of the first event.

FAQ
Are inflatable event tents suitable for outdoor brand activations?
Yes. Inflatable event tents can work well for outdoor brand activations when the structure, branding, anchoring and site conditions are properly planned.
In this project, a 3 × 6m airtight Long Inflatable Tent was used for a two-day outdoor product experience, display and brand promotion activation in Kosovo.
The tent provided the main branded event space, while two matching inflatable columns helped define the entrance.
How long does it take to set up an inflatable event tent for a roadshow?
Setup time depends on the tent size, pump and site conditions.
For this project, one person completed the basic inflation and raising of the 3 × 6m Long Inflatable Tent in under five minutes.
Final positioning, sandbag anchoring, entrance column placement and product display preparation required additional time.
Can inflatable event tents be customized with logos and brand colors?
Yes. Inflatable event tents can be customized with logos, brand colors, graphics and branded panels.
For this project, the client supplied a logo and a simple visual idea. MX then developed the final roof, front and side graphics, full black structure and Pantone-controlled brand colors.
The two entrance columns were also designed to match the main tent.
Can inflatable columns be customized with logos?
Yes. Inflatable columns can be customized with logos, colors, graphics and directional information.
In this project, two 2m Block Inflatable Columns were branded to match the Long Inflatable Tent and used for entrance branding and wayfinding.
This helped the activation remain visible before visitors reached the main product display area.
Does an airtight inflatable event tent need continuous electricity?
No.
An airtight inflatable tent, also called a sealed-air inflatable tent, only needs electricity during inflation.
Once the internal air structure reaches its working pressure, the electric pump can be disconnected.
For this two-day project, no continuously operating blower was required and no additional inflation was reported.
How portable is a 3 × 6m inflatable event tent?
For this project, the 3 × 6m Long Inflatable Tent weighed approximately 32 kg and packed to around 50 × 50 × 50 cm.
Each 2m Block Inflatable Column weighed approximately 8 kg and packed to around 50 × 50 × 30 cm.
This made the complete branded event system easier to transport and reuse between roadshow locations.
How should an inflatable event tent be anchored outdoors?
The anchoring method should be selected according to the site surface, structure size, weather exposure and local event requirements.
For this Kosovo activation, the Long Inflatable Tent was secured with sandbags.
Other locations may require ground stakes, ballast or another anchoring solution.
The method used for one project should not automatically be copied to every outdoor event.
Why use inflatable columns together with a branded event tent?
Inflatable columns can extend branding beyond the main tent and make the entrance easier to identify.
In this project, the Long Tent created the main product experience and display area, while the two branded columns helped visitors see where the activation started.
This created a more complete branded environment than using the tent alone.
Can branded inflatable event tents be reused for multiple roadshows?
Yes, provided the structure remains in suitable condition and is correctly installed at each new site.
The system in this project was used again after the initial two-day activation.
According to client feedback, the main advantages for repeated use were easy transport, simple setup and consistent brand presentation.
